National Volunteer Conference & Yonex Volunteer of the Year Awards 2021

10/11/2020

The League would like to encourage people to join the Volunteer Conference on line and/or nominate someone for the Volunteer of the Year. We have a good track record as Edie Graves from Hest Bank BC was runner up Junior Volunteer of the Year last year

Hi all,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the 2021 Badminton England National Volunteer Conference and 2021 Yonex Volunteer of the Year Awards!

2021 National Volunteer Conference

Building on the success of the 2019 and 2020 National Volunteer Conferences, our 2021 Conference will be run virtually as an online series between January and March 2021 to keep everyone safe. There are a wide range of topics available, suited to all volunteer roles, allowing us to support and enhance your volunteer journey. You will learn from leading experts on a wide variety of current topics, takeaway practical information to implement locally and hear success stories from other volunteers across the country.
Please see the attached brochure for information on all webinars or full details can be found on our website using this link: https://www.badmintonengland.co.uk/play/give-your-sport-a-helping-hand/

2021 Yonex Volunteer of the Year Awards

The Yonex Volunteer of the Year Awards are fantastic way to thank a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in their role, particularly during this challenging year.
This year there are once again two categories open for nominations; Volunteer of the Year (19 years & above) and Young Volunteer of the Year (13-18 years), both of which recognise volunteer contributions and ongoing commitment to badminton specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm on Friday 11th December 2020 and the winners of the awards will be announced during the launch of the National Volunteer Conference on Sunday 31st January 2021.
Please visit: https://www.badmintonengland.co.uk/play/give-your-sport-a-helping-hand/2020-volunteer-of-the-year-awards/ for more information or click here to nominate a worthy volunteer for one of the awards.

Kind regards,
Jonny
