International Youth Games 2023.
Badminton is one of the sports to be played at the International Youth Games 2023 which is being hosted in Lancaster this summer.
The countries involved are:
Almere from The Netherlands
Aalborg from Denmark
Rendsberg from Germany.
Lancaster from the UK.
The Youth Games takes place from Thursday 20th July to Tuesday 25th July 2023.
Badminton is played at Lancaster University Sports Hall and it will be played over 3/4 of the days.
David Newton is running the badminton part of the Youth Games and can be contacted on bigdster@gmail.com.
David Newton is looking for people to host the 4 leaders travelling with the young people. The dates are late Thursday 20th July and they leave early Thursday 25th July.
The commitment is overnight accommodation but it doesn’t have to be a bed as David can ask them to bring a blow up mattress. It also includes the provision of breakfast, a packed lunch and tea. The leaders should have a free bus pass but if you can provide transport it would be most welcome.
If you think any of your club might be willing to provide accommodation please ask them.
