Dear League Committee Member,
As you are aware Nick Haigh as President and Jess Logue as Chair have resigned their official positions.
I have thought long and hard about this and I am sorry to say that I have decided to resign as League Secretary, for my own well being. I feel that I do not have the support of the clubs. The last 7 years have been very challenging and stressful, which is not how a voluntary role should be.
This now means that our League has no President, Chair or League Secretary.
I am happy to complete the legislative administration until the League AGM which should allow this seasons matches to take place:
*Check BE registrations for new players.
*Carry out the League Safeguarding role
*Adding players to the pool and loan Whats App groups
*Setting the date for the AGM.
However I will not be checking score sheets, calling committee meetings and any other League Secretarial tasks.
I would strongly suggest that the remaining committee members check the legal position for utilising League funds without these officials in post.
Can I also remind clubs that they are required to have a named Welfare Officer. It is a BE required responsibility for all clubs.
Any new registrations in season please continue to send to me so I check BE registrations and that these players are insured, which again is a BE requirement of the League.
I will totally step away from all League activity prior to the AGM and someone else will have to take responsibility for these legislative issues.
Lancashire County Badminton Association will be advised of the current League situation.
I am always here to support in this difficult transitional period.
